Services Overview
All faculty members, staff, students, and research collaborators are entitled to an HPC account1.
This includes access to the High Performance Compute Cluster, our parallel file system (GPFS), and other standard RCC services. See below.
Standard Services#
All accounts have access to the following services:
- General access Slurm accounts (partitions/queues)
- 150 GiB parallel HPC storage
- Access to a shared multi-terabyte general access scratch volume (upon request)
- Access to most2 packages in our software catalog
- Software installation upon request
- NOTE: Departments must provide licenses for commercial software
- Basic technical support for HPC commands, utilities, and software packages
- Basic technical consulting for developing research workflows using RCC resources
Additional Services#
The below services are available for research groups who need dedicated access to the cluster or additional technical staff time.

- Dedicated HPC Slurm scheduler accounts
- Access to the newest compute nodes in the HPC cluster
- Priority access to the HPC; jobs wait substantially less time in-queue
- Dedicated access to GPU nodes
- Dedicated storage volumes in our parallel or archival file systems
